About Us

Macho Republic is a Community Interest Company. Our passion has always been to explore issues that deal with masculinity, mental health, and perceptions about manhood. Through content creation, honest conversations, and research, we harness the power of community to answer the big questions.

Why We Do What We Do

Positive masculinity is essential.

We recognise that unhealthy examples and notions of masculinity can contribute to systemic inequalities and social harm. Through education, mentorship, advocacy, and community engagement, we empower men and boys to embrace values of strength, kindness, emotional intelligence, and allyship. In doing so, we help cultivate healthier relationships, workplaces, and communities.

What We Do

Macho Round Table

Our curated series of thought-provoking discussions that explore modern masculinity, its impact, its evolution, and its influence on how we live, lead, love, and relate. Each roundtable tackles a specific theme and invites participants to engage with challenging questions in an open, honest, and inclusive environment.

This isn’t just a conversation about men, it’s a conversation that includes everyone.

Project Ignite

Project Ignite is a dynamic school-based workshop for boys aged 10-16 that helps students explore positive masculinity, identity, emotional resilience, and respectful relationships. It’s built to inspire honest conversations, build self-awareness, and encourage students, especially boys, to redefine strength on their own terms.

Team

We’re a small but committed team striving to make a meaningful impact. Our founder, Shiva Quashie, is supported by a dedicated team of part-time and freelance contributors. Saiba Haque is our social media lead and the founder of Hot Source Magazine.

We are united by one aim: changing the way people see the world around them. This is not something that will happen overnight, but it’s a worthwhile pursuit that will make future generations better.
